4 “NOT’s” THAT WILL HELP YOU PROGRESS IN SPIRITUAL LIFE

FEAR NOT:
Isaiah 41:10; Hebrews 13:5, 6. The reason the Christian need not fear is that God is sovereign and in control. II Timothy 1:7 points out that, “God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind”.

FRET NOT:
Psalm 37: 1, 7, 8; Proverbs 24:19. Much of the fear in society today comes because of evil and wickedness, and those who promote it. God’s Word tells us to fret not because of evildoers. This does mean that we should be blind to evil, nor that we don’t need to stand up for good, but that we have no need to worry.

FAINT NOT:
Luke 18:1; Gal. 6:9. God says to us, faint not. In Galatians 6:9 we are told not to, “Be weary in well doing, for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not”. Men ought always to pray, and not to faint. Jesus tells us not to give up in prayer. Persistence truly brings rewards! (Luke 18:1). Read also II Corinthians 4:16

FORGET NOT:
Psalm 103:2. We should never forget the blessings and benefits given by God but always acknowledge them. That will keep us from a discontented heart and a murmuring tongue.
