There are many ways in which the Bible communicates to us spiritual truths. One of those ways is by taking the subjects and objects of nature. God often draws our attention to certain things of nature for the purpose of illustrating a spiritual truth. I want to draw your attention to one of those objects-the palm tree.
There are 60 references to the palm tree in the Bible. We will examine 11 characteristics of palm trees, making a spiritual application to each.
1. PALM TREES ARE DEEPLY ROOTED
பனை மரங்கள் ஆழமான வேர்களை உடையது.
The Chrisian life must be rooted in God through Bible and Prayer. Col. 2:7; Matthew 13:6b
2. PALM TREES GROW TALL
பனை மரங்கள் உயரமாக வளரக்கூடியது.
The Christian life is to be one of spiritual growth. Jeremiah 10:5; Song 7:7; 1 Peter 2:2
3. THE PALM TREE IS NOTED FOR ITS STRAIGHTNESS
பனை மரங்கள் நேராக வளரக்கூடியது.
God's people are to be straight & upright without any crookedness. Lev. 19: 35, 36; Pro. 11:3; 6, 11; 14:11; 15:8.
4. PALM TREES ARE FRUITFUL AND HAVE MANY USES
பனை மரங்கள் கனி தருகின்றன மற்றும் பல காரியங்களுக்கும் பயன்படுகின்றன.
Christians are to be fruitful and useful. Psalm 92:15; John 15:8.
5. PALM TREES WITHSTANDS ABUSE.
பனை மரங்கள் காயங்கள்ஏற்படும் போது தாக்கு பிடிக்கும், மரித்து போகாது.
The Christians will withstand and overcome hurts and pains. II Corinthians 4:16.
6. PALM TREES WILL BEND NOT BREAK
பனை மரங்கள் வளையும் ஆனால் முறியாது.
Christian life will not be defeated by the storms of life. 2 Cor. 4:8, 9
7. A GROUP OF PALM TREES FORMS AN OASIS
பல பனைகள் சேரும்போது சோலைவனம் உண்டாகிறது.
Christians ought to give importance to fellowship of God's people. Heb. 10:25.
8. PALM TREE CANNOT BE GRAFTED.
பனை மரத்தோடு மற்றொரு மரத்தை ஓட்ட வைக்க முடியாது.
The Christian is distinctive and is not be grafted into the world. 2 Cor. 6:14-18; Rom. 12:2.
9. PALM TREE BREAKS THE BANDS
பனை மரங்கள் எந்தகட்டுகளையும் உடைத்துபோடும்.
As a believer grows in God, every chain of addiction and affliction will be broken. The Christian must be victorious. Rom. 8:37; 1 Cor. 15:57
10. PALM TREE WILL NOT BURN
பனை மரத்தை எரிக்கமுடியாது.
The child of God, if he remains faithful to the Lord, will never suffer the fires of hell. He will never burn; he is a palm tree. Matthew 25:41,46. Revelations 20:14-15
11.PALM TREES ARE EVERGREEN
பனை எப்பொழுதும் பசுமையாக இருக்கும்.
The evergreen is a symbol of immortality. The child of God will never die; he has everlasting life. (John 3:16, 18, 36).
