- PRAYER. Isaiah 56:7
The church is a place of Prayer. The Lord says My house shall be a house of Prayer. When we go to church we must go in an attitude of prayer. We must take all our burdens to the Lord in prayer. We must present our petitions to Him. There is great power in the united prayer of the church. - PRAISE. Psalms 100:4
The church is a place of praise. We must enter into His presence with singing and into His courts with praise. God inhabits the praises of His people. We must go to church in an attitude of praise and worship with a heart of thanksgiving and gratitude to God for all the blessings He has bestowed upon us. We must not go to church with a spirit of grumbling and murmuring against God. - PROCLAMATION. Psalms 40:9
The church is a place of proclamation of God’s word. We must go with a receptive and a hungry heart to listen to the voice of God. The church is the place of proclamation of God’s truth and not a platform to voice human theories and philosophies. We must go to church with a burning desire to hear God speak to us and to learn His ways. - POWER. James 5:14-15
The church is a place of the power of God. We must go to church to experience His power. God longs to demonstrate His power in the midst of His people. We must go to church with an expectation and a strong faith to see the Power of God in action to bring deliverance to God’s people from all the bondages of Satan. - PARTNERSHIP. I Corinthians 3:9
The church is a place of partnership where God’s children unite to labour for the Lord in partnership. We are co-labourers with Christ. We must go to church in an attitude of unity and partnership to work unitedly with God’s people to fulfill the task of the church. We should not go to church with the intention of quarrelling and fighting with anybody but to work in harmony with others. - PREPARATION. Ephesians 5:26-27
The church is a place of preparation of the bride of Christ to meet the Heavenly Bridegroom. We must go to church with the humility and realisation that we are to be prepared to meet Christ. Therefore we must be willing to be corrected and rebuked in order to remove our flaws and deficiencies. Preparation requires changes and purification and we must go to church realising our need for correction and be willing to receive instruction . - PRESENCE. Matthew 18:20
The church is a place of the presence of God. Wherever two or three are gathered in His name the Lord will be in their midst. We must go tochurch longing to enjoy and experience the presence of God.
