DISCIPLINES OF JOSEPH IN GENESIS 39

God used three disciplines in Joseph’s life to prepare him to be the second ruler of Egypt: A. The discipline of SERVICE (39:1- 6). Joseph exchanged his “tailored coat” for a servant’s garb, and God forced him to learn how to work. This way, he learned humility (1 Peter 5:5- 6) and the importance of obeying orders. It entails watching God develop others through you and rejoicing that they are being greatly used by God. This requires nothing else that Continue reading →

CHRISTIAN COUNTER-CULTURE

To put it simply, it measures a person in the 3B scale- – Beauty, Brain and Bucks. It is a pity to note that even Christians fall into this worldly trap. Our God wants his children to be counter-revolutionaries presenting the kingdom values to the world around us. We are called to be salt and light of the world. Our way of life should be radically different from that of Continue reading →
